Swimming Pool Resurfacing

There are many times when problems can occur with your in-ground gunite swimming pool such as wear and tear that needs to be fixed or replaced. Swimming pool resurfacing is one of the main renovation services that can restore a pools look and make it look as good as new. Danna Pools Inc. has a variety of different pool surfaces and plaster finishes that can make your pool look young again. There is no reason to buy a whole new pool when all you need is to get your pool resurfaced (Click here for more information on a Free Swimming Pool Quote). Just remember that swimming pool resurfacing is not an easy job. If you have a company resurface your pool and they don’t know what they are doing, if can have huge implications on the surface of the pool.
While applying the surface to a pool, we use what is called plaster. It is a material that consists of tiny crystals and cement. This is what gives the water of the pool its color and can also make the pool floor vibrant and beautiful. If your pool had no plaster or finish on the bottom, there would be no color to the pool, not to mention how dangerous it would be to not have a finished pool floor. This is one of the main reasons Danna Pools Inc. performs swimming pool resurfacing jobs. Because the floor of the pool has worn down or cracked and is hazardous to the people swimming in it (Click here for more information on Swimming Pool Service).  The concrete below the old finish could also be leaking or have some other structural problem with it. Danna Pools usually has to come out to the job and figure out what is wrong with the pool and if it is even the pool finish that needs to be replaced.

Swimming Pool Resurfacing can completely change the look and feel of your old pool!

Once the problem is noted, we would begin the process by sandblasting the existing pool surface and get rid of the rock and junk. After we get the pool to the correct state, we can begin the swimming pool resurfacing. This is usually a two day process that can take up to 5 or even 10 guys sometimes to complete, depending on the size of the pool. The material has to be mixed and applied to every inch of the pool, but only up to the tile line. The pool finish must be smooth and straight at the end of the job, so Danna Pools Inc. uses skilled technicians to complete the job fast and make sure it is done correctly.
After the work day is over and all of the plaster has been smoothed out and is now drying, the swimming pool resurfacing job is now complete. The next day your pool will be ready to fill up and swim in. Of course you have to make sure that all of your chemicals are properly adjusted and maintained (Click here for more information on Swimming Pool Maintenance). If you leave your pool alone and don’t take care of it, it will eventually start to wear away. It will get dirty and the walls will be green with algae. Danna Pools Inc. loves to take that responsibility for you. We have a weekly maintenance schedule that lets you sit back, relax, and enjoy your summer.
